This high resolution image of fossil wood captures patterns and colours not previously visible to the naked eye, despite the fact that it was, of course, formed millions of years ago.

Its rich colours are set off against a dark "background", although the satin silk brings it alive, and makes it shimmer in a way that is difficult to catch in a photograph.

The wrapped image shows how interesting it is, and it can be folded and tied in different ways to produce different effects, so is a very flexible scarf. However, the darkness of this image is misleading because it is actually more a dark blue than black.

This is now only available as a bespoke scarf, printed in England, and normally delivered in less than 6 weeks, often 4 or 5 weeks. We'll notify you when it's about to be sent.
