Of course, we shouldn't have favourites, but we do, and this is one of them.

There is something so pleasing and appealing about the natural integration of shapes and colours. It's just instinctive that some things appeal to us, and we simply don't know why.

That seems particularly true when we have something so miraculously beautiful that is stone and millions of years old because fossilised wood is exactly that: wood that has been turned to stone over millions of years, yet through all those processes and all that time it has not lost its shape, colour or vibrancy, particularly the growth rings.

However, what you are seeing has only been made possible by the latest - millions of seconds old - technology that enables us to have such a close up view, and captures all those wonderful colours embedded in stone.

What's more they reproduce superbly on our silk scarves, and, indeed, often look much better on silk, and at a larger scale than is possible here.

Previously sold in luxury stores, this is now only available as a bespoke scarf, printed in England, and normally delivered in less than 6 weeks, often 4 or 5 weeks. We'll notify you when it's about to be sent.
