Strizzate Firenze

This is one of the wonderfully original Richard Weston strizzatte images using a technique originated by Rennaisance painters.

Here the image has been created by squeezing (that's what strizzate means in Italian) acrylic paints between glass sheets, then scanning them at high resolution, so that what you are seeing is a tiny fraction of mixed paints.

They were previously sold by Fortnum & Mason in their superb scarf hall, and are here offered at nearly £200 off the original retail price.

Our printers printed rather more than we had ordered, so we have reduced the price further, although, of course, there is no reduction in quality.
