The Ford Cortina was the UK's most popular car in the 1970s with a name inspired by the Italian ski resort Cortina d'Ampezzo where the 1956 winter Olympics were held, and several Cortinas were driven down the bobsled run as a publicity stunt!
Times change, but this is a wonderfully timeless image - well, at least we think so, and perhaps you do too?
It was created, literally, by the splashing of car paint spray over time in the Dagenham factory to produce a chunk of solidified paint, and that, magnified greatly, is what you are seeing here.
