We love the simplicity and power of this image.
It looks and feels natural, as indeed it is, but it has some extra dimension that makes it an absolutely outstanding scarf if you like (or sometimes like) boldness.
This is a microscope generated image, so is a tiny piece of an agate.
How tiny? Well, the microscope delivers a magnification upto 200 times actual size – ten times greater than the digital scanner we use for other images.
That means we need a mineral sample less than 1 millimetre wide to create this scarf.
Altogether, pretty amazing.
