This seems as close as nature gets to the spirit of Jackson Pollock, and a shirt made with this image by Georgio Armani's shirt maker is one of Richard's favourites.
This image is taken from a thin piece of elestial quartz that looked fairly "dirty" to the naked eye, but microscopically a great deal was clearly going on!
It was created under unstable conditions during crystallization whereby geometric cavities were filled with clay minerals of varied colours. The specimen is actually 1.5cm.
