This could not be more different to the Desert Jasper in formation, style or colour, yet they are both jaspers - their variations as great as that of humans, perhaps.
While the ancient world knew jasper as green and translucent, and its dendritic tendencies can create landscapes, what we see here surely resembles plant life?
These look like fungal growths, micro organisms floating in the air, or jellyfish in the deep, dark ocean, but the coilour is almsot out of this world.
Anyway, well worth considering as an artwork we think.
