Liberty Heart Agate

This wondrous heart shape has been naturally created, yet you can only wonder how.

To be honest, we are as surprised and delighted with it as when we first set eyes on it through a digital microscope.

Anyway, it makes for a unique and much admired scarf, especially in flowing silk.

Agate is a colourful variety of quartz sharing qualities with amethyst, opal, onyx, jasper, and Tiger’s Eye, and was named after the river Achates by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and naturalist.
