It highlights the many types of minerals around Rocklea Dome in the Hamersley Iron Province of Western Australia - and the number, range and quality of colours is so surprising.

Just to be clear, this is not a retouched photograph, although doesn't it look more like an abstract painting?

Even more surprisingly, it presents at a macro level wonderful and natural patterns similar to those we find at a micro scale in our minerals.
