This is an all-time favourite with Weston Scarf Collectors, and you can immediately see why.
It's a truly lovely and interesting image.
It's also the scarf used in Richard's favourite portrait of himself, and professionally photographed for a major article in The Independent in the early days of our scarves. In fact, it is the one and only photograph of himself that Richard really likes!
Bloodstone is a form of green chalcedony with red inclusions of iron oxide or red jasper, hence the association with blood, but the image has been inverted, so that the colours are the "opposite" of the original image.
