Talgarth Agate Scarf

Stunningly distinctive in terms of colour and "design", we think this is a really smart scarf that will jump out when you look in your wardrobe, demanding to be worn (again).

Quite how such regular bands were formed from molten minerals huge temperatures deep inside the earth, we don't know.

What we do know is that human eyes have never seen this image before now, despite the mineral itself being millions of years old.

That's because the microscope used to capture this image delivers a magnification upto 200 times actual size – so that means we needed a mineral sample less than 1 millimetre wide to create this scarf.
