MALACHITE VOLCANOES

PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE OPTIONS
Amazing colours and a real 3D effect, perhaps reminscent of volcanoes, perhaps not.

Malachite is renowned for being used as an artist's pigment until around 1800, but has been mined for over 3,000 years at the so-called King Solomon's Mines in Israel.

This is, in my experience, an unusual specimen of malachite with the concentric bands being so fine and regular. The narrow, pale blue bands are due to chrysocolla
