Ocean jasper is the name for a variety of orbicular jasper - hence the round shape - found along the intertidal shores of northeast Madagascar. It was discovered in 1999, and sadly mined out only seven years later.
It always features variably-coloured orbs or spherical inclusions, but this section through an unusually large orb features exceptionally well differentiated rings.
