This seems reminiscent of an ancient Chinese landscape painting on vibrant parchment, and this is indeed Chinese Picture Stone.
It is a form of limestone, enriched by dendrites that result from water-borne minerals - most commonly manganese - being carried in solution between bedding planes.
It looks superb large on a wall.
