Architects, interior architects and interior designers are beginning to realise the potential of these images to complement and extend design originality and excellence. Indeed, four buildings in the Olympic Village will feature Richard Weston's images on a grand scale.
Because they are both natural and creative, they offer something few other images can match, and because they are exceptionally large format images (5GB - not 5MB!) they can be used at enormous scales. We cannot wait for the first office refurbishment to be temporarily clad with a Weston Earth Image.
Already a firm of architects has encapsulated an image in glass for the frontage of one of their buildings - see image on the right - but Richard Weston has imagined even larger projects - see bottom right.
A set of images has also been chosen to graphically identify residential units at the Olympic Village for 2012 (bottom image below), and for the prestigious West End offices of three leading global companies (see example below).
Whether as large scale graphics, 2D installations in atria, room dividers, curtains and blinds, rugs and carpets - not to mention large format prints on walls! - these images inspire creativity, and will win awards.
